I am an avid collector of projects. The infatuation began with the rise of the social web. Suddenly we could create semi-decent content and publish it ourselves to an audience of... well, whoever was interested in our hashtags, our topics, or even our lives.
I cut my teeth on the Uniform Project, my first start-up gig in NYC fresh out of grad-school and never looked back. My daily projects have gotten me out creative slumps, given me fresh perspective on the streets where I've lived, and introduced me to some awesome fellow human beings.
A weekly vlog cataloguing my motions, lessons and decisions in real time while building an illustration and commercial art business. One part "Life of an Illustration" and one part information exchange - each week I capture what I'm doing, and frame each episode around a topic of interest.
Four years ago, in the thick of my New York life; I realized I was bored in the most exciting city on earth. So I started this little experiment and started looking at life from the vantage point of my Chucks, to see if I could shake things up a bit. Now, 3000 photos, 4 continents and a whole lotta memories later, I'm still stomping.
One day one woman pledged to wear one dress for 365 days to raise money for education in India. It kind of caught on, and became a project turned digital fundraising platform. Through the U.P we collaborated with some great businesses - Etsy, eBay, Burdastyle and the like, to raise money for some great causes - Charity : Water, Glimmer of Hope, and more.
An ultra-saturated catalogue of my soul sabbatical spent in the ancient, mystical land of Ethiopia. Trying to capture the beauty of the people while looking through a window between worlds. All taken with a stealthy iPhone 3.
The inky adventures of a small dragon living in the curious world of human beings. Orwell started as a picture book idea and has turned into a way of life. He is currently on sabbatical, observing Emperor penguins in their native habitat and will return soon.
A month-long Instagram dedication to drawing all things floral. An avenue to develop technique and a great excuse to buy myself fresh flowers during the coldest month of the year.
